Adopt a Street

by Litter Watch

Do you love where you live and would like to help keep it looking clean and tidy? If yes, then this campaign is for you. We are encouraging residents of Sandwell to adopt their street and pledge to keep it litter free. We all need to do our bit for the environment and what a great place to start - your own street! The area you choose to litter pick can be as small or as large as you like. The time you volunteer is up to you. A five minute litter pick can make a difference but so can 30 minutes. We just want you to take part and join Litter Watch in making that difference. The sense of pride you feel when you see a street free from litter is amazing. The scheme is open to individuals, schools, businesses and community groups. If you would like to take part in this campaign we can offer you the equipment, rubbish collection (large amounts) and a sense of pride that you have chosen to take part in helping to keep Sandwell tidy. In return for your commitment we will provide you with: Litter picking equipment and bags (limited to 10 sets for community groups/schools) Hi viz vest, gloves and a Litter Watch T-shirt (subject to availability) Guidance on health and safety You can use your grey bin at home for disposing of any litter you collect but if you collect a large amount of litter please contact the Litter Watch team.
